Wheelchair Seating and Mobility Evaluations
Our evaluations for wheelchair seating and mobility are designed for patients who require wheeled mobility in both their home and work environments. We want to help you:
- Maximize independence and safety
- Improve posture and function in the wheelchair
- Optimize seating comfort and function
- Prevent complications and skin problems caused by improper seating
- Choose a chair that fits you and your budget
- If you find yourself in need of a wheeled device for the first time, or are looking for a change or upgrade for your current chair, ask your doctor to refer you to Angel Leaf Rehab & Consulting.
- If you depend on a wheelchair for mobility, a proper fit is essential. With a doctor’s prescription, and following your insurance guidelines, we’ll arrange for a personalized Wheelchair/Powerchair Clinic.
At this one-on-one clinic you can expect:
- A thorough assessment of your posture, potential for skin breakdown, and your level of mobility and function
- To learn about various devices and help deciding which one will provide you the greatest level of independence, function, mobility, positioning, and skin protection
- A pressure mapping assessment to determine the most beneficial seat cushion for you
- To learn ways to move about more easily at home and in public spaces
- Adjustments to your wheelchair to improve your mobility and comfort
At Angel Leaf Rehab & Consulting, licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, and representatives from our wheelchair vendor are always ready to help.
